Ciro Beligni, Riccardo Comparini and Emilio Monechi are celebrating their silver wedding with wine, given that 25 years have passed since the opening of this wine shop and wine bar, opened on a bet and which has become a true temple of wine. You cross Ponte Vecchio to sit on a stool and browse through the new labels and perhaps taste a new French cheese. If you’re lucky you can also taste the ABC 2015, a wine born from Ciro’s passion together with Adriano Zago and Bernardo Conticelli, made with 100% organic Sangiovese grapes, from old vineyards, fermented in amphora, wood and steel.


Opposite Palazzo Pitti is this wine bar with kitchen, created on the remains of an antiquarian bookshop and managed with grace and competence by Edoardo Fioravanti & Company. Pitti Gola has a particular attraction for Nebbiolo and Sangiovese, a few selected dishes with character, which are accompanied by old and new vintages. Furthermore, if you join the Wine Club, the cellar selections will arrive at your home.


Near Ponte Vecchio there is Obsequium, a real wine boutique. A small paradise for lovers of bubbles, where you can find Champagne, Franciacorta, Trento DOC and many fine labels. In addition to wine, here you can also find the accessories to best serve it, such as glacette” wine keeper”, professional corkscrews and decanters, and they have a small selection of quality gastronomic products. The wine shop is also a pleasant meeting point where you can stop for an aperitif, combining a glass of wine with excellently made cured meats.


Rooms dedicated to art host important wines in this wine shop in downtown, managed by the Alessi family since 1952. The bottle shop, as the sign says, is part of the Esercizi Storici Fiorentini. If you can stop for a tasting as soon as you cross the threshold, it is upon entering the cellar that a world opens up: 2,500 selected wine labels, for a wine journey that you will remember for a long time.


TheAntinori wine bar was opened in 1957 on the ground floor of Palazzo Antinori, a Renaissance palace from the 1400s. The Antinori family has been engaged in the art of wine making for over six centuries, starting in 1385 when Giovanni di Piero Antinori became a member of the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri, the Florentine Guild of Winemakers. Rinuccio di Antinoro is recorded as making wine at the Castello di Combiate near the Tuscan town of Calenzano in 1180.


For over 700 years and 30 generations the Marchesi de’Frescobaldi have been making wines in Italy. Today, their estates number 11 and produce a variety of high quality wines distributed to over 65 countries worldwide. They have also won numerous awards for their wines throughout the world.
