Ponte Santa Trinita

The new design was able to withstand the power of the Arno River, and the bridge became a symbol of the city's strength and resilience. Today, the Santa Trinita Bridge remains one of the most important landmarks in Florence. It is still used as a major thoroughfare, and is also a popular tourist attraction.
